WHERE TO FIND SHACKLETON ON THE WEB
Given the massive interest in Shackleton that has emerged in recent years, there are now some 80 pages devoted to sites relating to Sir Ernest Shackleton on the Google search engine, each containing ten or so entries, of which some 90 per cent refer to the explorer. AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY WEBSITE
The American Museum of Natural History in New York features on its website an interesting brief overview of each part of Shackleton's Endurance expedition.
This site relates to the major Shackleton exhibition seen at the AMNH and subsequently on tour. The very comprehensive list of items featured includes : Introduction, Expedition Members, Southward Bound, South Georgia Island, Into the Ice, On the Floes, Sledge Dog Pals, Aboard Endurance, Beset, Ocean Camp, On the March, The Great Boat Journey, The Voyage of the James Caird, The Men Left Behind, the Crossing, The Rescue, Shipmates.
